Newly acquired, 1943 Bulova “Blackhawk”. One of a series run by Bulova in the early 1940s. Original selling price was $41.95.Aimed at servicemen with the red sweep seconds hand. This one needed conditioning, crown, sweep seconds hand, re-lume hands, and NOS glass crystal. An exact match I had in my stash of 30,000 glass watch crystals. Coffee today with the guy I bought it from. I wonder if he will want it back when he sees it! 🙄

Eversince I got parted from my beloved Railmaster I missed it dearly, eventhough I sold it because it didn't look right on my wrist. Getting the 36mm is at the back of my head that I might acquire one some day. The LE is beyond my reach. So for now I have this to scratch the itch. Hope the obvious copy doesn't offend anyone on the forum.

Forgot to post my Speedy pic an hour ago and now I’ve had a change of heart. Even matched the keyboard to the watch. 😎

Strong start to a rare day off. Now, I'm off to piss the rest of the day away goofing around with watch straps. 😀
