See, it looks fine! All those naysayers: "It's too greeeeen!"

it’s like magic. Very green in bright sunlight. Slate Grey ish when cloudy. Almost black at night.

because of this magic trick, now my number 1 vacation watch….

Away, camping for a few days. I wore my late 1950s Gruen Autowind, 23-jewels with German made Durowe movement. Gold shell over stainless steel case. With all the emphasis on the message board re: “soft” gold (or steel) cases that have lost definition because of having been heavily buffed, I have come to realize how fortunate I am that this one is quite well preserved. This watch spent over 40 years in a box of discarded watches that I inherited. I know nothing of its past, except it hasn’t been buffed since I discovered it.

new (winter-) bracelet, new service, but not pool-proof 😁 : voilà

Not pool proof? I would think that it's water resistance would be addressed at each service interval wouldn't it?

Very nice diver right there!

As a passenger.

My daily wear beater:
Can't see much wear but I like your attitude at it being a beater, get that beauty scratched up and show er off with pride!!

The Speedy Tuesday choice on a return engagement Wednesday.

Oh no!

It's Nu MuDu Wednesday!

Cornering the Texas market here on the vintage, marvelous, mysterious, malicious MuDu watches; probably something that no one else in the entire state is doing. This one makes three MuDus on hand. I never intended to gather up Mudus, but quirkiness happens.

Just fetched from the post office box. It's not yet cleaned up from the packaging. An Ebay purchase out of Israel. If it truly is in as new condition as was represented then it's about 60 years behind on a service so more later after servicing and strap selection.
