·You and I had better watch out , going to see up and coming musical stars. A friend and I went to see Jim Croce a few weeks before he was killed in a plane crash.
I wish I could have seen Stevie Ray Vaughn.
I was at Miles Davis' last performance at the Hollywood Bowl less than a month before he died.
Did manage to take in a SRV performance at the Wiltern in LA, 1987, but the better story is missing a show a few years before at the Golden Bear in Huntington Beach. I went with four friends, one of whom swore he could get us all in because he 'knew' management. Turned out he was only half right.
