I like that the bezel on this watch always reminds me of the inlet cowling of a jet engine.

Added bonus: the lume still works!

I hope I look this good at 87! - 1936 Asprey braded art-deco style tank watch from Asprey of London, an iconic British luxury brand. The champagne dial features fancy black "exploding" Arabic numerals, reminiscent of similar Rolex and Cartier pieces from the same era. Its beautifully balanced with a subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and fine blued steel fuseaux hands. The case is signed GS (sponsors mark), hallmarked Glasgow 1936 and numbered. It is powered by a Swiss made, 15 Jewel manual wind movement. Overall, a lovely piece to have in the collection, especially as these types of watches gain in popularity due to their elegant and whimsical dials.

Some ultra-high technology. Well...it was high-tech 48 years ago 😀

Just showed up in the mail and straight on the wrist! My first OF purchase and of course it went smoothly just as expected. Thanks OF and @slique12!

Almost forgot, it showed up with the correct date. Didn’t even have to set it. It was meant to be.

Did you buy the Caravelle!? I was going to plug it in my post but then I saw it already sold! Such a cool watch. I wish I could buy them all. 🙁

Stuck inside working on a top down drive kind of day

I recognized the fob before I saw the logo on the key lol. Those days are the worst with an S2000 in the garage :/
