··Home For Wayward WatchesSpeeding through Tuesday, first with a short drive this morning to visit an ailing and crippled Vietnam USMC vet from church who, 56 after the event, is still suffering from the lingering effects of two mortars hitting too close.
This afternoon we're coordinating the Speedmaster with the new watch to gauge how the new watch will measure up.
The Speedmaster returned from hospital with a clean bill of health and regulated to keep particularly fine time for my purposes. It lost about a minute over a 30-day run last month. If the Orient can keep up (or even close) to the accuracy of the Speedmaster for a week then it'll garner my seal of approval.
We'll see next Tuesday.
Rubber strap is linty from pocket carry.
