I’m eying this one for my October trip overseas. So Lou, should I get it? Recommend?

I've only had it for a week, but so far I like it a lot. To me it's a glimpse of "punch-above-its-class" Seiko of old. I give them credit for introducing the GMT feature, made hotter than ever by Rolex's unavailability, at its entry level Seiko 5 end of the portfolio rather than higher up. The blue half of the bezel is reflectively mesmerizing, going from near black to dark blue to light blue depending on what it's reflecting off of. Can see a bit of that in the 2 pics below.

Did that band come with the watch?

Yes, that's the jubilee bracelet it comes on. The center links are solid, not loops...which is nice. I think the end links are solid too. Clasp is still stamped sheet metal, but overall I like it. Not too rattley.
