Square Roamer went into my Watchmaker for service and at the same time I picked up this freshly serviced and rare Roamer 23 Jewel Rotodate, replaced lens with NOS OEM Roamer lens and replaced the rotor which though new looking had a worn jewel setting and rattled, incredibly he had a NOS 23 Jewel Roamer Rotodate rotor in stock! What are the odds!

So this is my afternoon watch now.

Grew up in eastern PA. Born in Jersey. Supporting a local guy basically. I have his 801 caliber too.

Never quite sure why this type of modern watch has a ‘sector dial’, but that it would probably be called ‘cross hairs’ if it were a vintage watch.

I guess someone on OF knows the answer 😀
