Icing and freezing or just below temperatures are forecast for our region of Texas for the next couple of days so I just stacked some firewood on the back porch in anticipation of the event. A gray, damp day and 29F just now so the warm glow of 18kt Longines rose gold is warming.

My daughter's flight from San Francisco into Dallas-Fort Worth this evening was cancelled earlier due to weather. She was able to get rerouted to her ultimate destination, but I suspect that most air travelers won't be so lucky as DFW is a major hub. There just isn't much excess capacity in the system anymore. When the system is affected by weather, it's like a chain of dominos going down.
