Currently at Dunkin’ with @ChuckMK23 and his 1861 and my Korean War era U.S. issued Breitling…

This one is for Mad Dog. Let's see if his dedication lasts another 45 years. Maybe he has such as this to look forward to. Apologies, as it is not watch related, all diehards, please continue on, nothing to see here.

New England Dunkin' devotee surprised on his 95th birthday (msn.com)

McK

P.S. If one of you clever guys or gals could photoshop Mad Dog's head in the proper place in the hug pic and post it, it would be much appreciated. ::rimshot::::facepalm1::🤦

P.P.S. I just realized what Mad Dog is going to say, he wants a hug from each of the Hooter's girls instead. LOL

Wakmann sold it in the US
Breitling import code on Val R723 movt
AOPA dial👍
Gigandet case
Wakmann assembly circa 1963

as I age, I increasingly enjoy the large and legible subdials…..for one never knows when a steak needs timing to a nice m-rare result as one moves through a day of leisure.

Here’s one I just put back in service. And what did I read about mad dog and an old breitling? I go away for awhile and chaos ensues.

Totally watch related, I can see a watch peeking out from under that coat sleeve.
The race is on who can identify that rouge / mystery watch!

Didn’t get round to posting yesterday’s wear, so here it is now with today’s
The 1st pic is from yesterday a Citizen Promaster yachting watch.
And today’s watch has a little story to it.

@ 11 months ago when the current unpleasantness kicked off in the Ukraine I felt a bit sorry for the poor buggers so I decided to throw some money their way by buying some of their goods, had a look around to see if they made anything I like and found that they make watches.
Kleynod is the brand.

So I buy one online, paid via PayPal, so no great risk to me and wait.
It took around 3 months to get here, not surprising as it was coming from a war zone severely disrupted by the bombing and mayhem that one would expect under the unfortunate circumstances.
I realise that it’s unlikely to ever be worth much, although at least it has a Swiss movement, albeit a generic Ronda one.
And it came well presented.

But now. I have a conversation piece, the 12 o clock markers represent the Trident national symbol of the Ukraine.
I like that it’s quite unusual, it’s worth more to me than what I paid for it so it’s a win for the Ukrainian economy and a win for me sitting up here on my moral high ground
