·A sentimental favourite. My 58 coming 59 year old, one owner (me) Bulova Accutron 214. Acquired in 1964, worn on our wedding day in 1966, in a lineup outside the Czech Pavilion at Montreal Expo ‘67 (got soaked in a cloudburst), at the Christening of our son in 1971, and at our 50th wedding anniversary shindig in 2016. Still looks and runs like new.

·Non-Swiss today, a Grand Seiko Spring Drive GMT. This watch has a chocolate sun ray dial, Seiko puts it on a black croc strap which never seemed right to me to I ordered a padded beige Genteel calf strap with brown stiching to bring it all together. Uncanny accuracy with these watches and the GMT function is easy to use when travelling.
