Looneytoons is correct. It is a EAT (European Audio Team) Forte S. Very solid and great sounding table.

Sota is still highly regarded. I have spent some time with the Sota Sapphire. It was very nice.

Some Michael Hedges to help get me through the work day.

What I like about this thread is finding a new artist I'd never heard of before - thanks for posting this. Thoroughly enjoying his music...

Cheers, Al

More Brit retro today.

I had the great priviledge of seeing Ian Dury and the Blockheads at the Glasgow Apollo in 1978. After the show, we hung around the stage door and the roadies came down and invited us up into the dressing room. Ian shared his beer with us, told us funny stories, gave us autographs and did little drawings for us all. A true gentleman.

He always struck me that way, though I never had the opportunity to see him live, living half a world away at the time. Did you see the doco that Mike Connolly put together back in 1999? The Beeb trots it out again every now and then, it seems, or you can find it on good old YouTube:

And now I must go find some Slade...

Glad you like it. He sadly died in a car accident about 20 years ago 🙁. He was in his mid 40's

Any excuse for an Alan Partridge quote: "That was The Police, or Sting as they're now known. (Cues up another track) Who's this beautiful blonde man? It's Annie Lennox!"

Are you listening to the vinyl or digital edition? If vinyl, hold the lp by a window or near a light source. You may already know this, but most releases of Synchronicity are very dark purple vinyl - almost black. I always buy one if I see one in a record shop - I have a few copies!

His stuff is so variable, but that one is a ripper from start to finish
