When I was over my buddies this weekend we picked up a guitars and played this. He didn’t know it I just wrote down the chord chart and lyrics. He has two great kids who usually ask me to do magic tricks and call me the wizard. But they wanted music. I sung which I don’t particularly like other than backing but his two kids (ages 2 and 6 maybe 5) were an attentive appreciative audience and accepted my croaking lyrics.

My buddy not fully familiar with the song had tears in his eyes at the end as the kids looked at us with such appreciation and that innocent amazement in the eyes of children. Shortly after the five year old nailed me with a socket ball to the midsection I wasn’t expecting but up until then it was kind of touching. The young ones of course don’t get the lyrics but damn they have meaning.
