A friend - a bit older - was in a 60s band. Played stuff and covers. He told me when they played Beatles songs girls screamed and generally neared hysteria. They were not The Beatles. Just played the songs. Hard to imagine really. Anyway they got a gig as back up band to Howlin Wolf. Decide to play Spoonful en homage. HW came flying across the stage and layed him out. One hit. Kissed the wood. You trying to steal my gig man?

Would have been good to see Jimmy Page though. When a session musician Little Jimmy Page played the gigs south of the river (Thames), Big Jim Sullivan played them north
