Been digging back into my preference for great guitar tone and great players. Always searching for innovative ones. Two that stand out to me most recent are Patrick Stoney and Ariel Posen. Great stuff out of each of them.
Well we've just gone into another state wide hard lockdown due to a virulent c19 strain escaping from a quarantine hotel. It doesn't really affect me, but I thought I'd let the brain cells chill a bit, and watch beauty to music. I'm watching (and listening to) Coppélia, a ballet with music by Léo Delibes. First performed on 25 May 1870 at the Théâtre Impérial de l'Opéra. The performance I'm watching is from 2018, Australian Ballet and Opera Australia Orchestra.
Wow! On an aside. If any of your mates suggest that ballerinos (male ballet dancers) are pussys, just drag them to a performance. The agility, skill, precision, strength, endurance and pure grace that these guys display would put the ordinary human male to shame (including yours truly).
In honour of the 40th anniversary of it's release today, this... I remember dropping the needle and hearing Tom Sawyer for this first time like it was yesterday...
Going through a bit of a Coldplay rediscovery lately , haven’t played this in about 10 years so it was definitely time for a play . And going a little off piste with some Kylie on Valentine’s Day
