Some Sophisticated songs from Sinatra . I think I will have to wear this album out first ,before it makes me anywhere near sophisticated 😲 . Great album though .

Oh my ,I’ve been waiting for this to arrive for about 2 weeks & contacted the seller today to chase up . And lo & behold half an hour after messaging the seller the postman only knocks the door once & rings the bell twice .. Anyway it was well worth the wait, & some of Mr Wellers finest on LE vinyl from 98 Also spinning around today is one of Duran’s best efforts from 85 👍

A little more upbeat today on such a gorgeous spring day.....

play it Loud......stereo today, but I also have the mono box to alternate.

But for me, maybe once or twice a year. Today was that day!

Funnily, Virus is a favorite. Memory Loss is my favorite if I have to pick one.

So listen to this. Had no idea hah.

So apparently "Release Music Orchestra" is a German group from the 70's? Lol!
And you mentioned Battle Song and that song from Zoo, so how much of 3030 is actually sampled?
All of it? lol

Dig this RMO track. Super chill. I'm pretty sure samples are used throughout a majority of the album, if not the entire thing.

Back from my long morning walk, cooled down, got a cold gin and tonic in hand, system’s been warming up while I was away and One of my players is the Sony 333ES 5-disc carousel. See ya in 5 hours, I’ll be in musical bliss and unavailable.

Probably all of it. Sampling is a pretty classic tradition - lots of the earliest stuff coming out of the Bronx was sampled; it's anecdotally said that the earliest forms of hip-hop were from DJs at parties slowing down records to emphasize the beat.

Hence the break beat.

And as usual my musical tastes prefer music from decades ago ,and the 80s which produced some pretty good groups were my teenage years too . And I’ve been playing these long time not played albums this afternoon ,oh happy memories indeed .
