My 80s playlist, which includes the following.... The 80s seem to me a musical high, mid 90s on it all turned out to be mostly rubbish... or perhaps I’ve turned into a grumpy old man - my father! 😲

Oh my god, some fabulous numbers there. Men Without Hats had dropped completely from my mind. May have to draw the line at Flock of Seagulls...

I’m not a nostalgic person. In general I avert nostalgia. I prefer to move forward.

Learning today that Adam Schlesinger died, due to Covid-19, I turned on Fountains of Wayne’s “Utopia Parkway” tonight. I was 17 or so when this album really hit, but there’s some clever, very well written power pop here.
