I’m loving this distillery. Family run and the Master was a senior guy at Makers Mark. Finishing an afternoon of estate paperwork.

I was a frequent customer when I lived in London, shame their historic store in St. James street is no longer serving single bottle and case buying customers.

Tonight, I drink patriotically to my host country.

 

This really old bottle of whiskey found during a clean up... 62 years in the cupboard...

 

Now, that is really something spectacular. Another gorgeous rarity found on OF. Enjoy!

Possibly the best whisky I've had this year.

 

Quit alcohol near on 20 years ago. Not by a conscious choice I just found one day I'd lost my taste for it. even the odor is offensive to me.
Could be some body chemistry change. I try a glass of wine now and then but can't get past the first sip.

 

likely a good thing.... in spite of the above post it doesn't interest me like it once did.

I'll likely have a taste and then pass it on to someone who'll appreciate it.

 

92/100 Wine Spectator.. $8.99 at Vin Chicago. Yes Kendall Jackson! Seems they can produce more than over Oaked plonk!
