Two glasses of red wine a Guiness and now a 15 year old Dalmore single malt. Pre-game prep for NCAA basketball. Though I'm Canadian and went to Western University in London, Ontario, I have seasons tickets to Michigan State football. I am therefore a Michigan State fan. Go Green!!!!

I know London Ontario well. Still live here, and also attended UWO. I made many a trip to East Lansing MI back in the day, quite the party town!

I had fraternity brothers in London, whom we visited because 3.2 beer was legal for 18 year olds. Attended UM -- Go Blue!

I had lots of fun in London and dragged my poor wife from London back to my hometown after university. East Lansing is fun. The town shuts down for the football games. Great atmosphere!

In the last couple weeks we've busted out some stellar bottles. Dinner Sunday night was with a group of couples so we brought a magnum of '95 Arrowood Reserve Special. Might be one of the best years they ever made. Went to dinner with my sister and brother in law a few days later and finished off a bottle of '12 Ottomino Little Eight. My after work bottle has been '07 Match Butterdragon Hill. Been a good week for reds!

Been sober for 18 hours. Might last another 15 minutes.

That's my kind of tea totalling! 😜

We're (and by "we're" I mean "I'm") still sampling cabernet sauvignons from 2012 to see which dozen brands go down the cellar in quantity. Gotta stock up when you get a stellar vintage! Tonight's bottle is Shafer One Point Five. I think I like it almost as much as their Hillside Select - especially since it's 1/4 the price - so it's going to pass muster.

Other than the aforementioned Shafer, these made the grade in varying quantity:

(6) Chappellet Signature..... and I might up that to a case.
(6) H3 Horse Heaven Hills..... this is the f🤬king BEST $10 bottle of cab you'll EVER taste.
(9) Sebastiani Alexander Valley..... I gotta pick up 3 more to make a case - we drank a few it was so good. 😗
(6) Caymus 40th Anniversary..... for a wine as polarizing to the critics as this, it sure sold out fast.
(3) Hill Family Estate Double Barrel.... Glad I grabbed this while I could - only 50 cases were produced.
(?) Hill Family Estate Atlas Peak...... waiting on it's release and am on the email list. I'll take whatever they offer.
(6) Jean Edwards Cellars Rutherford Reserve..... the best kept secret until now - and a few critics think this could be the next cult wine.
(3) Hidden Ridge 55% Slope..... took the word of a contact we met while on vacation to the SF / Napa / Sonoma region.
(3) Textbook...... if you were blindfolded you would not guess this is a $22 bottle. Might up this to 6 bottles.
(3) Jamieson Ranch Double Lariot..... another recommendation from a contact ITB.

That makes 11 different bottles - but it's really only 10 brands since their are 2 from Hill Family Estate. So I have 2 more slots open, and as a regular drinker of Arrowood and Caymus I might wait for Arrowood's Reserve Special and Caymus' Special Selection.

well, actually last night after some home made pasta meal and a rich chocolate cake for desert. Nothing like Amaro to sooth the feelings of a heavy belly! 😀

Well, the Wendy's containers say "mom" on the collar of the woman, yet I doubt it's home cooked.
