My Vostok Komanderskie got a new movement. Time to get a bund strap before all the chrome is gone from the back of the case.

My EW -63 and Gallet EP40. Picked them up on Monday, not today. I hope it‘s not too late to share 😀

Double-dip day!
Both of my mods came back today from a case-swap.
Moved the Mitsukoshi into a NOS hesalite sandwich case, and put the MKII into a better case with a DON.

Both are now “finished”.

My Citizen field watch BM 80813E (or something like that). With new sapphire crystal. So much better than the original mineral glass. Sapphire just feels so solid. I sandblasted the case and acid washed it, but my watch maker probably cleaned it with ultrasonic, so the darker colour is gone. Looks much better I think.

Just got these back, an Omega 165.009 and a Rolex 6424 (which is a 36mm hand-winder with extra-long power reserve).

Nice result. A perfect no worries watch.

Picked up the Dynamic after 2 months - had the internals cleaned up, the bracelet tidied up (and readjusted a bit) and the crystal polished.
Happy to report all's well and the watch is even running at +/- 1 second, at least in the shop today. Will see how that holds up in the next few days...

This one just back from my watchmaker and what a money pit it was!

It had been at my WM for over a year waiting on parts that could not be found, he had already had to replace the balance wheel, also had to replace the reversing wheel assembly, the auto complete winding bridge (Rotor was still there) was needed (missing), finally I managed to find a complete but non working MST522 movement form Vintage watch parts in the UK NZ$128.00 to get it here.

Cost of the watch ( sold to me as working but not)
Cost of my WM parts
Cost of donor parts movement
Cost of my WM to repair and service
= financial disaster.

I particularly liked the square case and dial which is a bit unusual also that it is a presentation watch which to me have been gaining greater value (in my eyes) as they display a traceable history for a vintage piece as opposed to a new in the box with no patina.

One in one out, also pictured this one in this morning an MST 471 Mod 471-1230.001 in good running order but may need some work on the dial feet 🙁

Very pleased with my first ever Constellation, back from the spa. Changed to a decagonal crown, now on a Saffiano black leather strap to bring out the black markers. Dial is a lot cleaner on the wrist.

One of my favorites. 1958 Seamaster “Seachero” reference 2990. Just needed a new mainspring.
