(It really is nice.)

Super excited to finally have this back after only a week together and about three months at the spa. And on a proper 1040!

No spa treatment yet for my recently acquired Mk40, but I had sent the bracelet off for a re-brushing. The seller's before picture exaggerates the condition, it looked fine to wear, but the edge of one link had a sharp nick, and someone had brushed the entire surface of the bracelet. Now, the very thin sections are polished, and the rest got a uniform brushing again.

Finally! All completed, this has been a long expensive process but the last part of the journey was just done, a new lens.

Earlier this morning I had received my Seiko SBDX001 MM300 back from the spa. It is just about 10 years old and well overdue for the service. Excited to have this one back and ready to put it through its diving paces in the next couple of months 😀

Just returned from STS; 145.022-74. A new crystal finally gives me a good look at that beautiful dial.

Feels great to be reunited with my jlc futurematic 😀
For me, this is the watch which got me into the concept of mechanical watches all that time ago. Saw one in Paris on a trip more than ten years ago and have been searching for the perfect example ever since.

I'll ad a picture from when I bought the watch for reference, so nice what a cristal change can do...

Good day for me today. I‘m particularly thrilled about the Seamaster with a golfball dial.

Not a perfect example but very wearable imo.

Pristine examples of these are hard to come by these days, but yours is quite nice. I would be happy to wear that any day of the week. It appears to be all original with some honest wear.

I bought my wife a Reverso Gran' Sport in 2001 and had it engraved by JC Randall who was JLC's authorized American engraver (now retired), but she stopped wearing it a few years ago so I thought it was about time to get it overhauled and put back in good condition. It was a pretty seamless service from JLC in Dallas, you put in the serial number on their system and it comes back with the estimated cost. They even include insured FedEx shipping both ways. Total cost was $650 (plus state tax) and took about eight weeks, a fair price and turnaround in today's world. They did a really good job and they cleaned up the case as it had acquired a fair about of scratches over the years.

Zodiac triple date moonphase ref 905 just got delivered back to me today. Seconds, date pointer hand, and crystal were replaced with something more appropriate.

Always a great feeling when it comes back.

Just back from the spa last week. Cheered me up immensely to see it again as a) it was away so long and b) currently recovering from a knee op. Watch needed a fair bit of work as there was corrosion to a fair few bits (centre wheel, third wheel, small and large winding wheels, sweep pinion and reverser wheel). Now fit and healthy and good for many future years of service. Am wearing it to physio today to give me something pretty to look at in the waiting room.
