Just returned but with proviso's.

This is a stunning watch in person, just a little hard to capture in photos.
Been at my WM for a long time.
There is some dial damage next to the diamond but other than that it's pretty good.

One of the most appealing features is the dial furniture and logo which form a 3D topographical landscape with their inordinate height and design elements and just oozes that brash early 70's style which people either love or hate.

Wrist presence is fantastic with it's large 38mm case size, lens profile and large crown.

Still have yet to find an appropriate Titoni bracelet, these don't look good on a strap with their case shape.

Had a bit of a hiccup with the Space King Titoni.
Was running OK but power reserve was way down and my watchmaker had informed me of it before I picked it up but he wasn't happy to do any more on it have stripped and rebuilt it a gazillion times trying to resolve it.
Luckily I had found an exact NOS replacement off of eBay but according to the seller it had issues of the minute and hour hands not working for an unknown reason. It was an old ( but new ) movement and I can understand their reluctance to refurbish only to sell.
I hadn't wanted to do an outright replacement as I normally prefer to preserve the vintage history but in this case other than a gold coloured balance wheel the replacement balance wheel was silver otherwise indistinguishable other than it had perfect screws and wheels unlike my original which you could see the slightly mangled screw heads etc of a well used ( abused) movement.
So I bit the bullet and said do the swap out.
He found the minute hour hand problem to be the cannon pinion needed tightening and a date problem plus whilst it ran perfectly the timing did the odd glitch so he changed out the balance wheel to the original gold one, problems all solved!

Now it runs perfectly.

Back to the treadmill after a little stop at the spa. New watch maker adjusted my 2254 from -90 to almost 0 as far as I can tell. Same day service at an Omega Ad.

3 vintage divers back from the spa! In even better news, my watchmaker just moved to Baltimore, about 15 min from my home.

The new spot has a big showroom and might be a good spot for a meetup or event in the future. Just putting that idea out into the world for people in the DMV area.

This back in today.
New OEM mineral glass lens and correct for ref Crown plus new stem and seals and service.
Total cost is probably the same as a good 9 out of 10 unserviced example so maybe I came out ahead but what I have ended up with is a very unusually dialed ( but correct ) example with orig strap, clasp and a very good case.
