Would really appreciate opinions on this Cal. 564 Seamaster!

Hi all, I'm new to the forum... I have my eyes on this Seamaster with Cal. 564 ref 168.024. I'm new to vintage Omega so I thought I'd get some opinions from the forum. From what I can tell, my main concerns are that the case is over polished and the date window is degraded. However, I would appreciate any additional feedback. Asking $761. Thanks!

I'm concerned about the movement pic. The part obscured by the rotor ought say adjusted five positons and temperature. Except it's obscured.

The rest does not bother me.

Ok thanks. I appreciate your response... Will try to get some more movement pictures. If everything checks out, does this seem like a good example for the price?

Overall looks like a solid deal to me if that movement issue is resolved. I believe they made far fewer of these than constellations…

Case shows heavy corrosion, you are unlikely to get anywhere near a watertight seal. Case and bracelet have both seen better days.

I'd pass and spend a bit more for a nice one, this one isn't.

Every time I think I might have a useful opinion on one of these posts, a real expert like X350 chimes in with something actually useful.

Is it from Japan? They seem to polish anything that moves. You also get these very bleached pictures.

The pitting around the crown is worrisome. Also, the pictures have too much exposure. This usually prevents an examination as to whether the case has been polished.

The 168.024 is a little unusual bird that is a good addition to any vintage Omega collection. Mine has been running pretty accurate despite it being a 51 year old watch ☕

The ones belonging to @hoipolloi and @Shabbaz should be your standards as to condition.

The movement is not marked adjusted ..... you would see part of it around the rotor .

this watch has been “serviced” ....

Just saw an example on the bay with same position of the rotor ... you can see some of the adjusted verbiage....
