Would appreciate help identifying a Seamaster Day/Date

Hi folks,

I inherited this Seamaster from my late grandfather and am hoping to identify more specifics about it (ref number, etc) before posting it for sale. It appears to have a gold filled 10k bezel. I've seen similar dials on other Seamasters circa 1970 but cannot quite place this one. There is paper work included with a movement number - I'm unsure if specifics can be divined from this number.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you 😀

As you noted, it's a gold-filled Seamaster circa 1970. You could find the reference number, movement caliber, and movement serial number inside, but it won't change the value very much. As a seller, it's your job to do the research.

Those wonderful Speidel arm hair puller bracelets were all the rage. Remember my dad having the same one. A nice leather strap will totally change the look of the watch.

As for the movement number on the paperwork, pop it into a Google search and see what comes up. Or drop by a local watchmaker and have him take the case back off and grab a couple of pics to help you in your search.

With the above information including movement photos and inside caseback and photos of the paperwork you can list it on EB and it will achieve its market value
