    Good morning from Israel.
Just received this Longines Flagship i purchased for 750$, by the pictures and description it seemed to be a
nice piece but as i opened the case back the movement almost fell out, only held in only by the crown stem.
I then took the watch to my old Russian watchmaker who added that the 345 movement was only charging in one direction and needed a new reversing wheelPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network.
I quickly contacted the seller who assured me it was me it was sent in perfect condition. HaHa
Anyway, to cut a long story short i was offered 200$ to keep it and so i did.
Ordered an 75$ reversing wheel on eBay which hopefully should be here soon. I think the fix including parts and work will cost about 200$.
Good or bad decision in your opinion??

It’s a very nice and high quality watch from an era that Longines watches were equal to omega watches. I think you made the correct decision to keep it and service it.

Looks good, but the bracelet seems to be put together from parts. The endlinks aren't for those links ( you can tell by the wide gap where the "beads" connect to the spring bar) And I'm pretty sure the actual bracelet part is for a Seiko or similar. (just in case it was billed as an "original bracelet")

But the clasp would be a good donor if you find something more appropriate. Or just find some better endlinks and enjoy the heck out of it.

Once fixed up, it's going to be a really nice watch. The case-back is amazing.

The bracket does seem to be a bit loose.

I think fixing it is a good decision.
