TAG Heuer Diver Service Advice: Worth Fixing? Missing Pip

I can maybe pick this watch up for not a ton of money. I’m just wondering if it’s worth fixing. The pip seems to be missing. Also the date doesn’t seem to adjust. I’m sure it not running is a battery. If I could get it for 200-300 would it be worth the time

For me, it would be too many unknowns to roll the 🎲 🎲 If the gold bits are 10k or more, it has melt value.

Justin at https://www.tag1000diver.com/ specializes in these. The pip can be redone without too much difficulty. Being quartz it may need a movement swap. If you message Justin he can probably give you a worst case scenario cost. Good luck with it.

Here is a Tag I bought from Justin:

I love the smaller size.

I could get it for less than 300 bucks. I’m just wondering for 300 if it’s worth it. I’ve reached out to the guy listed below for a quote. Seems like his work looks solid.

After a good service it would be worth $700-$800, so you can figure out if it is worth buying it. Justin is a pro and a pleasure to work with in my experience.

He was quick to respond. I need to find a bezel. He advised there was no bezel insert available at the moment.
