No. They came like that! my wife had one, they all looked like that...... it was hard for Citizen to break into the North American market at first...... they tried everything.

 

I really think a picture in portrait mode would have worked better than one in landscape.

 

Is there a way to polish the spots off a dial? Who does a good redial?

 

Am I missing something, or are they?

They changed the picture. Originally it was of a large landscape painting.

So you need to work a little to wind it....

I looked at his other watch as well. He's written a rather glowing sales pitch for these watches, including a claim that they are all original! I notice on the black Connie that the hands appear to be wrong as well. Every Omega I own, the minute hand just reaches the minute markers. The black Connie's hands are way too long!

 

He says this one's in "exceptional restored condition" so he's sort of covering himself as the dial might be original even if the finish is not. (Though I notice he uses the phrase "original condition" further down.) He claims the other one's in "all original condition" when it's another obvious redial with as you say wrong hands. He's giving it the big sales pitch and asking about three times what these are worth in the hope that a fly with more money than sense will eventually fall into the web.

It's funny but whenever I see "stunning", "oozing class", "just breathtaking" etc in the description of a watch I just know I'm going to be looking at something no collector would give house room to.
