This one seems to have been reassembled on the dog's bed, with greasy fingers, in the dark.
I used to think people were joking when they said some sellers fill the lettering in with a Sharpie, now I believe it 100%.
Hello all, first time poster here. I'm just starting out in the collecting game, after owning a Tudor BB since 2013. Omega-wise I got myself a Speedmaster FOIS for my 40th, and have also picked up this (claimed) vintage Omega Genève for my wife's birthday. It is supposed to be a 1973 serial number, for her birthyear, which seems to check out with the Omega database. Having now read this thread I am of course worried that a 47 year old watch should have such a perfect dial. I'm currently on hols in the Alps so don't have the watch with me for a close up shot. I bought the watch from a dealer on Chrono24 but the case was a more or less contemporary effort from eBay. Am I good with this one do you think, or am I about to give my beloved wife a duffer???
On the same reasoning, I'm after a 1951 Omega (Seamaster or similar styling but no date wanted) for my dad's 70th next year. Chrono24 has about 60 offerings, one of which is a definite bad redial, but who to trust??? Many thanks in advance for any help.
Hello and welcome to OF. Seems like you have a good amount of questions so you should start a separate thread 👍 more people will be able to see as this thread's purpose to is to post examples of redials.
