Plenty of good brands, I have a Vintec, though not all of their models are created equal.
http://www.kitchenerwinecabinets.com.au/ are Aussie and do good stuff.
Key is to have an external compressor ... minimising both vibration amd volume very important.
If you want to get really nerdy, avoid the glass doors too ... or at least get one which minimises the ingress of light...
I had a look at Kitchener. Pretty expensive!

True, but very good quality, like Vintech amd Tramstherm and 25% off Chatelet and Levanter models at the mo, so the Levanter 380 works out at about $6.30 per bottle, I think it and the Chatelet 204 and 302 work out pretty well... but of couse its not my money being spent.

Many of the cheaper options just arent that fit for purpose, especially when it comes to minimising vibration, which along with light and diurnal temperature variations is pretty bad for wine, especially if you are looking at long term storage.

Model Price Quantity
Chatelet 36 $925
Chatelet 88 $1795
Chatelet 204 $2095
Chatelet 302 $2850
Levanter 380 $3195
Levanter 760 $6000
Peltier 430 $6995

Without seeking in any way to be sarcastic, a potentially cheaper option, if you have a spare room in the house, preferably without an external wall, which also has no heating pipes running through the walls (and preferably one in which you wont be cranking heavy metal) is to allocate that space for wine and source a good number of thick styro boxes with fitted lids) Simply stack the wine in these and stack the boxes and hey presto, you've got a very effective, low vibration space in which you have also significantly reduced thecspeed to temperature change. It wont be as good as a quality wine fridge but it will work nearly as well and will leave you 2-4k to invest in somewhere between 2 and 8 dozen excellent bottles. Or another vintage Omega... I used this method for about 5 years when O was a student, before hiring and underground cellar when I moved west to make wine, before heading back to SA and buying Wine Fridges. If I had the space I'd still happily use the old method.
