When I first saw it online I thought the hands were black. During the purchase in the boutique I was focused on the ‘am I mad’ sensation and really didn’t notice. When I got it home I brought it to my AD and had the hands changed.
congratulations on your courage!
Opening a watch worth over 60,000 euros and invalidating the warranty to change the hands is not for everyone.

"It takes massive gonads to open a 60,000EURO watch and change the hands. I compliment your courage to invalidate your warranty for a unique and special look."

Some of us entered at a much higher price point for a light dial. Omega knows what they are doing and the recent uptick in brand interest since the last market bull run proves that.

That is perfection. It's a stunning watch and the new hands look so sharp!

It’s the Canopus 310.63.42.50.02.001 I changed the hands so I could read the time as white gold hands on the dial made it invisible.

Great job. I always thought this watch should have black hands.

Yes- I agree. @Twocats a truly stunning watch, you've made it look the way it should have in the first place. Perfection is the correct word.

I recollect that thread, his story about an astronaut dial is very questionable. Working in Automotive there's no way outside people would get that kind of access to any upcoming models, so I'm sure Omega and/or its suppliers are alike.
Well, i saw it with my own eyes (and loupe). That was a near production dial because the level of detail was incredible. Just wait and see.

While im at it, the same dial maker can produce white enamel dials with a single machine in a single fully automated process. They gave us a live demo of the whole process and it takes less than 5 minutes to complete the dial. Its incredible. That means that hey have enough scale to meet Omega’s demand. So i do believe the white enamel Speedy rumor.

It’s been quite exciting following this thread. I just recently picked up a hesalite 3861 so it doesn’t look like the white dial version is coming to my collection any time soon. With the white dial, I’ll probably be swayed by the sapphire sandwich since the milky ring should just blend in with the dial color and I’d get to see the movement. Though waiting to buy preowned in a few years seems to be the move here, assuming it’s going to be a regular production.
