Will the full gold watches be trendy again ?

It's only gold filled and pretty scratched up, but I love wearing this one. I got it around 10 years ago really cheap at an auction. I only bought it for the movement (c.565) which I was going to use to build a Seamaster 300, but when it arrived I couldn't bring myself to scrap it. It was well used so somebody must have enjoyed and loved it, so I just put it in a box and left it. Last year I decided to get it serviced and I've enjoyed it ever since and wear it with anything.

I've thought many times that I should have got the parts for the Seamaster before prices went sky high and built one up, but I probably wouldn't have worn it that much. I have a Speedmaster, but I use this old Genève far more often as it's so comfortable and just feels right.

My grandad used to like gold watches (not solid gold!), so I like to think he would have really enjoyed this watch, too...

I've sold them all and kept just one. My jumbo 168.001. That's a keeper... Not full gold by the way... sorry for that

1980s Piaget Polo
Always gets compliments.
Those gold Piaget's from the 80's were quite the rage back then.

Closest thing to an all-gold watch I own. It’s a gold-capped Connie.

I have a 18 Kt. UG that did not get much wrist time until I changed the strap. I make my own straps and a bund (ish) strap now makes it look good even with jeans.

Here’s my collection of 18k gold pieces, the first being a recent purchase from a fellow member. Come to think of it, the three other pieces were also purchased from OF members 😀
