·Why is everyone assuming the milky ring is a flaw, not a feature? Clearly Omega is capable of producing more "round" domed crystals but seems to WANT to offer another variation with the “box shaped" domed crystal, as if they were looking for something to fill in the void space at the very outer edge of the dial with. Anyone notice that?
If I were the decision maker at Omega, I wouldn’t quite see the point of putting the same round shape domed sapphire crystal that looks just like the hesalite one. I bet my arm and leg some people would still complain it’s not the NASA-approved specs anyway. In any case, the sales number for the sapphire version must be looking pretty good or Omega would have stopped making it by now. RIP FOIS…
Considering 99% of the general population don’t even notice if you’re wearing a watch, the hardcore fans like us debating on the shapes/materials of the crystal like this got to be in that 1%.
