Alpinist is great. It can go as casual, field and dress watch. It's interesting that they put bars instead meters for pressure mark, nice touch.
Seiko do make phenomenal watches. My first watch besides some ugly Festina chronograph bought when I was 12 because it looked badass was a Seiko that my girlfriend (now wife) gave me for my 22 (If I remember correctly) birthday. It was a titanium quartz but looked a lot like the SARB in the OP. I really like Seiko but the problem for me now with the lower end Seikos are that even though they look great and are good value for th money, I have something better in my watch box. However, If I were to advise some guy only wanting to spend a couple of hundred dollars on a watch and it was to be his only watch then a Seiko SARB is an excellent choice and perhaps a winner. OR if something happened and I could not afford to keep my other watches. But they do look great

Love these watches! The black dial is pure class in my opinion, just a shame about the prices been driven up but there is obviously a demand pushing this.
I think the SARB017/033/035 are stellar watches. However: taking into consideration their price surge over recent years, I'd say they have become overpriced. I remember picking mine up brand new via Ebay, for less than €250.
Yes this is too true!!! I have see the going for over €700 which I think is crazy, but if there is a demand for the then these prices will be paid by certain people, and good look to them if they have that money to spend!
