Why Longines

Longines was THE brand everyone else wanted to be back before the 70's. Both Rolex and Omega had to look up to see them, and brands like Jaeger LeCoultre, Audemars Piguet, and Vacheron Constantin were happy to partner with them to improve their standing.
Funny you say that. My Dad who left me an Omega, didn't think too much about the Omega watch when he got it in 1966. Later when I talked to him about his watch, he mentioned that THE brand back then was Longines. He always thought the best brand of watches back then was Longines. Ahhh. The wisdom of parents.

As a kid I inherited this mid-40's Sei Tacche from my Grandfather in about 1972, beat it up then abandoned it in a drawer for 40 years, and as soon as Al can take it it's going in to Archer's for a service and fixup.

I was looking hard at the latest HydroConquest diver with ceramic in my search. I feel its a great value. I ended up going with an Omega PO....Happy but lighter wallet..Ha Ha.
