Obviously the speedmaster went to the moon and the Seamaster is worn by James Bond but why doesn’t the Railmaster get more love? I understand that the black and silver dials aren’t for everyone with the fake vintage coloring but the blue dial is as modern color wise as you can get.

I love the RM from mid 2000s but I dont care for the modern denim dial, or the fake aged lume.

 

I also like the mid 2000's version, oh and vintage of course

 

To me, because it is:
- not dressy
- not sporty
- a watch that lacks of a date window
- a watch with a nonsense crosshair in the middle of the dial

The Ranchero is popular (big bucks) now and rare....but was not a good move for Omega at the time. I hate to say it but I think marketing has a big impact for any new watch. In terms of Railmaster Anti-magnetic is important but maybe it is not so easy for the marketing team to get inspired ...and there is a lot of competition.... of course it might also just be people are being a bit rhotacist……

 

I Should add that I could watch this quality video all day...… but I don't think Omega marketing would :0)

I like the new RM a lot but still picked the 2018 Diver 300m.

 

I really like it, I hesitate to add it to the collection only because I have the 300 M, different but similar enough for me not to purchase it. But never say never if one comes across at the right price. I really like the brushed effect in the dial and the cream coloured lume doesn’t bother me at all. I think we are too focused on it being fauxtina rather than just looking at it as a coulour used in lume for modern watches

 

If black dial Railmaster didn't have the faux aged lume and came with a sapphire caseback then I would 100% have one. Great size and I love the all-brushed case and crosshair dial.

I certainly like it a lot, and I’m not even a big fan of trains.

 

The watch doesn't really do it for me. the denim dial is ok but i like watches with great detail in the dials.
