Do you like that? To me, it's the exception that proves the rule.

I think the rubber strap looks horrible on this.

Absolutely not 🤮

I should have added a little 😉

I think the photo isn’t flattering (or maybe the wrist). I’ve seen the style strap before on subs. It doesn’t look awful on the bottom lug, but the angle on the top is not great to look at 🤔

It just looks unnatural with complete integration (Bracelet aside) and no gap in my opinion.

The integrated look is a little overhyped imo. Then again, the only people who seem to like non-integrated straps and bracelets are us vintage enthusiasts.

The integrated style upsets the proportional balance of the case, and makes the watch look awkward. I guess it would look even worse on a larger wrist

To each their own, but it’s not for me

I always wondered what a Speedy would look like on a rubber strap, so thanks for providing me with the answer, which is

I'm not a fan of rubber straps in general because of the look & feel, and the weight, and I agree that FB combo posted by the OP doesn't work. This prompted a google search for a better combo. Here's a Tintin on red rubber posted by @WatchWalker a couple of years ago here on OF and it doesn't look bad at all:

Rubber straps on a Speedy IMHO work best when the strap is in a contrasting colour vs the black dial & bezel, and when the dial includes minor colour elements that match the rubber. To be carried off at all, a sporty strap needs a sporty dial, and a hairy arm helps. 😉

That looks better than the original picture, but I still don't think it is an overall good look. I don't think integrated rubber straps look good on a Speedmaster.

I don’t think it looks horrible. But I don’t think it looks good either lol.

Now that I think about it, I don’t think I’ve ever seen one on rubber. Maybe folks who have tried it didn’t like it and thus did not brink it to show-and-tell lol.

Okay then, try this one. Same rubber strap with red stitching for that contrasting pop of color.
