You can bend the end links a little tighter so that there's no gap between the case and the strap.

Regards - HU

Thanks, I’ll have a go but the bracelet was an old 19mm and I had to file it to fit. Still, nothing ventured nothing gained 😀

Hello everyone
I've had a Certina question for a while and I think this is the thread where to post ( i opened a thread on this very forum about this, but no answer :/ )

I've wanted to get an original Certina DS Crown as a replacement for a crown that's on my DS, but is obviously not the original one (as many DS that i found on sale imho !)

I've seen this one Ebay. It's 5mm
Thought when i look on the Spare Part Catalog from 1964, the right one seems to be 5.5mm

But still, i do think it looks a lot like the original one.

Can somebody help me on this please 😀))

Thank you so much

Maybe I'm not understanding your question. Based on your spare parts catalog, it should be a 5.5mm tube.

Certina Blue Ribbon with original bracelet in "just as found" condition. Should clean up nicely.

OF, I'm considering a mid/early 60's Certina DS automatic with an original bracelet. It's just lovely looking, but I have no context for how they wears. As someone who primarily wears larger divers I'm not used to a more dressier watch.

Hey there,
I have a 7.5 inches or 18cm wrist. I can easily pull off 42 ou 43mm divers. Tbh DS2 wears amazingly well on my wrist, hence i started collecting them 😜

here is below a picture of my red dial on my wrist

I can only agree that you should wear the DS2 on bracelet. You can "easily" find standard NSA bracelet, but in can only encourage you to get one with (or source it on a different purchase - not that easy) original 6300 "ladder" bracelet but especially the 6025 jubilee (the one on the pic)

good luck in your search, I'd be glad to help

That's lovely. I'm looking into the 36mm DS autos from the 60's with the 25-651 automatic. GF bracelt. Sublime. It looks like the lugs are longer than a typical 36mm watch so I suspect they wear like a 37 or 38.

I realise now you said DS and not DS2 ^^
See pics below, it wears a bit smaller but i just love the 36mm diameter !
It does "fit" better on bracelet than on a strap. Here it is on Certina bracelet, but it's even nicer on original gay freres bracelet

A better pic showing off this new acquisition. Definitely taking some inspiration for the more collectible argonoughts and DS2's. I love the dial on this one.

Thought I'd join the DIY bracelet club (copycatting @Spruce again). They really show off the beautiful lugs.

😀 😀 nice bracelet too.

Although these old DSs have slightly angled lungs, at their age these watches can take just about any strap …
