Any of y'all bidding against me on this? https://www.ebay.com/itm/174977765320?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2047675.l2557&nma=true&si=cZ1WEOGkQ2yfigdJeTPpz146cz4%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc
I know this is a Peseux 7001 movement, definitely in the days of decline - but I'm a sucker for this look and the integrated bracelet. Stoked to see what it's like in person. I've never seen this before - guessing late 70s. Comments?
As I reside in the city of Bristol I thought it fitting I have one of these in my collection. @Spruce alerted me to this awhile back but I didn't pull the trigger initially. A reduction to a double figure price promted me to take a punt. I like it, nice size, feels solid and I like the explorer layout.
Nice case design. Gold furniture with a 3-6-9-12 dial is probably my favorite combination. Gorgeous watch!
Hi
Not my watch, found this from an auction at Barneby’s, but I view yours as original. Looks like the condition of the dial might be a bit of an issue though. It’s almost always a problem with black dials regarding degradation. Looks nice and original.
….and another example.
I have been waiting soooooo long to post this. Last April I was contacted by @JwRosenthal about his Certina for sale. Fellow OF member @Syzygy pointed out to him that I had placed a dibs on the watch, on a posting 10 months earlier, so it was being offered to me first. What awesome gentlemen! I bought without hesitation as it checked several boxes for me.
It arrived late April. I retrieved it from my mailbox as I headed out to my watchmaker to pick up some other watches that were ready. I showed him my new piece. He opened it up and found it in great shape, but wanted to tighten the crown. I made the mistake of leaving it with him! I finally got it back this past weekend. I’m happy that it’s all serviced, but I would have enjoyed it for a few weeks before leaving it with him.
It needs a better strap, but here she is:
