Here is my first DS. Case is beat up with a bent lug but the dial is in better shape. It won’t be my last!


The dial is by far the most important aspect - looks great!

Be on the look-out for an original, slimmer crown. It does wonders for the .012 case shape 😀

How about this DS. The case is nice in my opinion, the dial is in terrible shape but all in all i really like the look of it.
For some strange reason i like the look of the well aged Certina DS dials.

Thanks! I have no clue to why my particular example looks the way it does. But in general, why some develop discoloration defects, most certainly has to do with paint not UV-resistant enough over time.

Very interesting color on both of those examples. One looks like a pecan shell, the other looks like motor oil...cool!

For some strange reason i like the look of the well aged Certina DS dials.

The dial deteriorated so much it became something else - I like a lot.

Not mine unfortunately. Our pal George in NYC has this beauty on it's original bracelet. Gonna see if I can round up the dough and buy it for meeself if he still has it next week 👍
