Still have mine for now. But i do have a few, so it could quite possibly go to a new home.
Wow, that's a fantastic example. Well done, sir.

It came with the original box, operation instructions, original 1039 bracelet, orginal flat feet crown, and the original receipt from 1969. Was sold to the gentleman I bought it from for a whopping $99.

Got one speedy and its a transitional. Not going anywhere. Dial shows a little chocolate which is really nice.

As many of you have seen earlier, I have just sent mine off for service for a little TLC to get the chrono working properly. I expect to get it back by the end of the month for fantastic turnaround and a great price (turned out to be around $350 US). Holding my breath until it comes back though. Here are the before pics and will send some after pics later.

Oh yeah, and am planning on keeping this one and am on the lookout for a DON and proper bracelet.

Those are all really great looking examples. I am still trying to learn the various subtle differences and have no confidence in my ability to determine a $5,000 watch from a $1,500 watch at this point.... but I'm having fun learning and really looking forward to getting back my Mark 4.5 in a couple of weeks.

I have to admit I don't get the brown strap on a black watch look thought it seems pretty common.

This was the watch that introduced me to vintage watches. Too bad about the replaced bezel...

I might entertain an offer😀

Was about to sell mine as I wear my ed white more often... But it does get loads of attention, and the girlfriend took to wearing it. Which is great, because I would've sold mine at a lot less than what these are asking now!

I have a good home if you need to let this back into the wild.

Now here's a question. While I always thought that it is possible to have a -69 with an aml dial and low serial, I have not yet seen it.

Does anyone have a -69 Transitional?

If not I shall have to update my pages ....

I've not seen a huge amount of these in the flesh, but I always thought the aml was just for the '68.

I've never seen a 69 with one.

Would be interesting to compare late serial 68's to early serial 69's to see how close they get or if there's any overlap.
