You never know. What if they make a white gold snoopy for the 50th of Apollo XIII?

I had #10 on my wrist for about a minute back in '07 or '08. With bracelet, same as yours. The seller was asking $9K(?).

Long story, but the bottom line is I didn't get it on account of having orders for other new watches, both Glashüttes.

Today, both GOs have been sold. Had I bought the ultimate Speedmaster, it would still be on my wrist.

    :(

I truly love mine. Nowhere near as low a number as 10 but I'll take it. Promised myself I'd only sell if I had a shot at the version with the bracelet. If you get bored @speedyproftw :D

All three are beautiful pieces, shame you see so few of them out in the wild! I've handled a couple of modified speedies that use the Apollo silver dials on standard stainless steel cases etc - how do these compare to the real (white gold) deal? Case and bracelet colour; finish; weight?

They are weighty (in a good way) and the dial looks unlike any other I've seen. Most people think it's SS at a glance until they pick it up.

    Too funny...Great minds ain't so great :(

About the same time I was negotiating with a Chinese Gentleman looking to trade his Father's Apollo XI 25th 3692.30 #005 for my Patek 5024G. Both were complete sets except his Dad didn't like the WG deployant that came with his watch and swapped it out for an 18kt. WG tang buckle when he bought the watch. Since I wanted everything to be correct I contacted the Omega Boutique in New York to see if the correct deployant was still available. It was and I would have also needed a new long black strap. Total cost for both was $1,500.US Needless to say I tried to get negotiate an extra $1,500. my way into the trade. The seller offered an extra $500. and dummy me didn't make the deal ::facepalm2::

I ended up selling my Patek for $9,500. which has subsequently bought, sold or traded numerous watches since then. The irony of it is now I'm wearing an Apollo XI 3592.50 #004/999 made for the Italian Market, but certainly not the Apollo XI I could have been wearing.
