Crazy idea maybe but has anyone ever put a stainless steel bracelet on a white gold watch? Assuming they're of comparable condition, will the color contrast too much? Would the SS end links damage the gold case? I'm asking because I have an Apollo XI 25th anniversary. I know that the SS version came with a 1479/812. As finding a white gold bracelet is unlikely, just curious how it would look and if it would damage the softer gold case. Any thoughts appreciated.

You can buy the white gold bracelet from Omega. They have them.

 

It will look different and you have a good chance to damage the lugs.

 

Thanks all. I'd figured as much but I had to be sure. Condition of the piece is great so definitely don't want to scuff it. I did price a bracelet at my local OB. They wanted $12500. Way, way more than I paid for the watch so looks like it's a strap for me. Thanks again.
