Hi,

picked this one up during the weekend. Dirty and with a strap that seemed to have not been cleaned or exchanged in many many years...

Don't have more information yet other than what is written in the moonwatchonly book and on fratellowatches ( http://www.fratellowatches.com/white-dial-omega-speedmaster/ ).

Supposedly made on initiative by the German distributor in the eighties. According to moonwatchonly-book it came with three different versions of the white dial (two pictured in the book, this one is not included).

Does anyone have any more information? Anyone know of any other examples (can't find any on the internet).

There is about half a page of information in the Moonwatch only bookon this dial. The German special that you are referring to has a different dial than what is on your watch (note the lack of PROFESSIONAL and the small indexes). The dial that is on your watch though still possibly made in the 80s was not alluded to a German only dial but a possible replacement dial for the Apollo XI 1980 White Gold (per MWO)

Hi,
If you turn to page 437 in the book you can read.

"The series seems to have strated out with a white dial inscreibed professional. The inscription was later dropped as in the example illustrated here."

The serial number is not far from the one in the book and too me the movement looks untouched but hopefully omega can share some more information on it when I order an extract!

It is obvious that if there is a second edition, we will add new stuff, correct few errors and so on. But the current version has to be sold out first, so make advertisement 😉

I guess I'll have to start buying a lot of books then 😀

Do you know of any other "physical" examples of the version? I mean, do they have one at the museum or in someones collection?
