Hello guys, I've always wanted a Fortis Cosmonaut Chronograph in my collection, the one with the lemania 5100. I have bought 2 of them recently and I'll have to get rid of one of them unfortunately. The problem is that I don't know which one to pick. The main differences are on the dial, layouts are a bit different and hands too. Crowns are also different, on one version they are polished and not signed whereas on the other one they are brushed and signed. Finally one is 200m wr (the one on bracelet) and the other one 100m. Also, one version is the exact same reference that went to space, this one : Here is the other one : Best regards
Seriously, this is post farming to a level never seen before, making the same comment twice in the same thread....
The traditional argument, mainly from a cost perspective, is to get it on the bracelet and source the strap later. have fun kfw
Some people just get excited, it doesn't always have an ulterior motive. Learning a culture and aligning with it is not easy. In re: the watch choice -- @la_lusigne you don't say a lot about what you like / how you'd like to choose. It's not obvious to me how different the watches are or if some of the differences in lume color, case color, etc. are differences in the photography: lighting, white balance, etc. That said, my default choice would be to get the bracelet and I also think the hands on the watch w/bracelet are cleaner: the chrono subdial hands are thinner and I prefer the main chrono seconds hand being orange all the way to the center.
Maybe it is the pics but, the second one seems to have better legibility and I like the black date wheels. It makes the day/date seem like part of the dial script.
