My missus spotted a bloke with a mens Evidenza on a few months ago. This is hers. View attachment 1647982
Someone spotted my SOH in a pub beer garden when I was stroking his dog.
He was an Omega fan and didn't like Rolex.

A Datejust with a fluted bezel is the classic watch you can spot at a distance, and you see a lot of them.

My Tudor Royal is a datejust lookalike.
I'm not even that keen on fluted bezels 馃槜

Personally, I've always been able to spot a Rolex Submariner or a Panerai Luminor from afar. There's just something about their iconic designs that catches your attention, you know?Speaking of watches, I've been a bit of a watch enthusiast myself lately. I don't have a huge collection or anything, but I've always appreciated a good timepiece. Recently, though, I stumbled upon this site at https://replicarichardmille.io. And they've got some seriously impressive replicas. I mean, they look so close to the real deal, it's hard to tell the difference! So if you're ever in the market for a luxury watch but don't want to break the bank, it might be worth giving them a look.

I usually see datejusts, it is fascinating to reflect that we can ID one from a distance when 98% of the population won鈥檛 even notice that someone is wearing a watch. I see Movado a museum watches with some regularity, they are pretty distinctive. I don鈥檛 see many fancy watches in the wild 馃槵

Hanging out at Belmar this weekend, I finally saw luxury watches on the wrists of Jersey a-yo-guys. 馃榾

Daytona, Submariner, the easily spotted Movado, and Seiko were out and about for sure.

Spotting luxury watches can be a fun game. The Rolex Explorer II is distinctive with that white dial, and the Cartier Ballon Bleu has such a unique shape. AP Royal Oak's design is unmistakable too. Dive watches can definitely blend together鈥擨 struggled with that too until I started looking at the details like bezel markings and dial layouts.

I once mistook a Seiko for a Rolex Submariner because of its similar bezel. Learning about different brands and their signature styles helped me refine my eye. If you're into spotting watches, maybe checking out guides on the best watches to purchase could help broaden your knowledge and appreciation.

Let's see, for Seiko - Pogues are fairly unique, ditto for Monsters and also many KS watches.
I would recognize some vintage Omegas too.

As for Rolex, there are too many homages/replicas, so I can't tell. I can recognize it looks like a Sub, but whether it's a Sub or a WD or something else... Ditto for new Omegas.

Usually Rolex as the first thing I pick out will be the cyclops over the date window (where present). Ok won't always be a genuine / not a copy, but more often than not. Suspect my personal bias kicking in as I can't stand the cyclops, despite the fact that with my advancing years and deteriorating eyesight I could actually do with one...

Spotted more often that I'm aware of would be bi-colour Daytona's and as seen this last week, a solid gold Sky-Dweller worn by a hotel pool

Apple Watch. Here in Silicone Valley, there's thousands of them.

Many others that have been listed above, but sadly, not the Sub. I've been fooled a bunch of times by homages.

I鈥檓 so lucky that every year I attend an F1 race, paddock side so I get to see both grail/ if only watches and those that sit in the normal bracket. I identify them immediately.
