Which is the rarest watch you’ve ever owned?

I think the current collection winners are my Omega chronometre dress pocket watches from the 1950's. I own 4 of the 5 I've ever seen. The 5th was sold when I was only a kid. So I had no chance!

Each had its own story. Some with imperfections (replaced bow and a poorly preserved seconds hand, etc). But all unique amongst themselves.

Lovely, but what do you mean by sei tacche in a tre tacche case?
The case is designed like a Tre Tacche. 35mm, same thickness and step case.

If we stay on the Omega topic this is probably my rarest Omega. Omega Geneve "Racing dial".

These are three two I still own one I wished I did not sell. Rare to me you have seen only a few own them they can be expensive to none- expensive you just don't see many of them.
The one I sold a Depollier with the first screw down waterproof crown.

When I got this one I was not sure about it. Got it at a NAWCC mart. When I posted it at the MWR forum no one at the time could ID it. Then a member about a year later ask if he could use my photo's he was doing a thread about it he found the MOD paperwork on it was legit after all only seen a few others since. Has a Waltham 840 movement and a Dennison case.

Here is a Hamilton FAPD only made for one month only Sept. 1970 has a 36 mm case the largest Hamilton wristwatch issued to the US Air Force. Don't see many of these anymore so in my book rare.

By rarest I’m assuming you mean scarce or limited in quantity. It’s not my most expensive watch but it is the rarest. The Panerai 195 was offered to a select number of Paneristi’s who were members of a Panerai watch forum. Only 200 were produced and your name was engraved on the case back of the watch.

Panerai 195 limited production of 200.

It’s hard to pin down exactly what my rarest watch is. But this one I think works, what I believe to be a N.O.S. Doxa Regulator Chronograph. When I received it, it still had the tag on it. It was with my watchmaker for around 10 months. While it was away I was toying with the idea of selling it but when I got it back home I couldn’t bring myself to! Here’s a photo with the crystal removed.

1962 Accutron Astronaut before the Astronaut was added. Not many, less than 6?

12 on top Glycine Airman.

Not sure if this counts, but 1968-issued Smiths 6Bs are relatively rare - roughly 250 or so issued that year. Rare or not, still a cool watch.

The mix of solid gold case + ribbon dial makes this one a very unusual watch. This reference was available with and without the seahorse on the back so people could add a nice engraving in place of the seahorse. This one has both the seahorse AND a beautifully done engraving on the back.

14k solid gold Seamaster de Ville ref. LL 6590-1.

Been a while since I posted in this thread. Since my last contribution, all three of the watches I posted are sold. Here's something interesting:

Railmaster 2914-4 with full Arabic numeral luminous dial and syringe luminous hands. I have only been able to find 2 others online. I contacted the Omega Museum and they believe that maybe 50 total were ever made. Full story here: https://omegaforums.net/threads/rare-railmaster-2914-arabic-railroad-dial.124082/
