I have been saving for quite some time, and thanks to forum member @Texans93 I found a deal that allows me to go ahead and make a purchase. I'm looking at buying a diver 300M and a Pelagos (maybe not at the same time, but the SMP right now and the Tudor to follow shortly thereafter.)

Here's my dilemma. Yes, I know it's my choice, but I seriously am struggling to decide and go back and forth by the hour.

I have been in love with the 300M Diver and Pelagos for years now. The Rolex BRBO on a jubilee is my grail watch, but that's never going to happen, but the aforementioned two are not far behind. I love the gray dial and white dial 300M's and I love the Pelagos LHD and blue Pelagos.

I also know I want one to be blue and the other black (or white and black). I think the blue pelagos is bold, but I worry it may be a little too bold and smurfy. (As an aside the Pelagos would be amazing in green).

So if it were you and you had to choose between the following two combos, which would you go?

    A. Gray Dial 300SMP on bracelet (with the blue rubber ordered as well) AND a Pelagos LHD
    OR
    B. White Dial 300 SMP on bracelet (with black rubber ordered) and Blue Pelagos?

I'm seriously losing my mind over this.

Very tough decision as both are amazing watches, I happen to own both and those 2 are the ones that I rotate the most. My seamaster is the 2531.80 that my wife got me back in 2007 for our 10 year anniversary. My pelagos is the black dial version with the new in house COSC movement. On the pelagos I opted not to go with the blue version because I have multiple blue dial watches even though that definitely is a different shade of blue like nothing I have. I have almost a 7 inch wrist and the pelagos fits me perfect I think. Also the titanium feels feathery light! Cant go wrong with either!!

    Have you tried them on??

Black dialed dive watches are all over the place. Stand out and get the white Seamaster and Blue Pelagos.

I have both, go with the grey as you described (you will LOVE the blue rubber on it) and the black Pelagos (I have the standard, not the LHD). Also, while not pictured, the Tudor Ti bracelet is insanely comfortable.

My vote is for option B. White SMP and Blue Tudor. Great combo!
Then once you finally get the BRBO, (or any other black dial) you’ll be set!

Great replies and pics.....Keep them coming if you can

I'm a bigger build in the arms and chest, so the size of the Pelagos works for me. I do like how the Gray 300M can dress up a bit on the bracelet, but I also love the boldness of the blue pelagos. What's interesting is...if I had to have just one, it would be the white Omega...but I am leaning a bit right now for the gray dial and LHD. I may go look at the Omegas one last time before making the purchase.

Glad you were able to find a good deal! I too was on the fence between gray and white. I didn't have a white dial in my collection and I'm not sure now why I waited so long. I've worn it EVERY day since I brought it home. My only decision now is on the bracelet or the rubber strap. The Pelagos is a wonderful piece no matter which one you choose....

I own the 2018 SMP in black, and a Pelagos in blue -- the LHD hadn't been released when I bought mine, and while I'm a lefty, the blue dial is like summer on your wrist.

I'd say, choose one for fun and one for work -- the exact combo will be very much YMMV, off course.

I love blue watches, but find the Pelagos blue to be too much. To answer your question, I'd pick option A. To throw a curve, how about a Black Bay Fifty-Eight 'Navy Blue', and a Seamaster Diver 300M ceramic/titanium (ref. 210.92.44.20.01.001)?

I went for the grey/blue 300m and the blue Pelagos. However, I also have a black PO in my collection to cover full the black diver spot.

Option A -- gray 300SMP and the Pelagos LHD would be my choice between the two options given.

However, I'd persoally opt for the white dial 300SMP and a Black Bay 58 Navy Blue. The blue Pelagos is just too bright for my taste.

Great advice. I've thought about this option to mitigate the boldness of the blue Pelagos a bit, but the 39" case diameter is a tad too small for my taste and wrist size .

Another thought for a Guppy Driver--do you have a GMT? Have you considered a Black Bay GMT? How about that for a touch of blue. Then, for a cool dive watch with lots of presence, the Seamaster Diver 300M ceramic/titanium (ref. 210.92.44.20.01.001)?

To simply answer strictly based on the options you provided: Option B.

But, candidly, given your description of your situation I also need to ask:
    - why buying TWO divers if that possibly puts financial pressure on you?
    - moreover, if you shall buy TWO, why two divers and not something else to add variety.

As you state, it is your choice, but IMO, not worth putting yourself in an unnecessary strained financial position. Any of these four watches you listed are great and could be used for years to come on their own merits.

PS: the Rolex will never happen if you keep being distracted on your way there... get one, enjoy it and keep saving...

I appreciate the insight MTROIS. I didn't mean to imply I was financially strained per se, just that even Tudor and Omega are relatively big purchases for me and I'm price conscious. The two diver question is fair, but it's just the watches themselves, not so much their classification. I've just been enamored with both of them for a long time, and feel like they have a very distinct look and feel from one another.

As for the BRBO...I would get one. If I could. I can't (or won't) pay flipper prices and there is no way I'm getting to the top of any AD list with just a couple of 4-5k purchases. If the supply/demand dynamic ever changes and they become attainable, I'll be ready.

Incoming!!!! One down. One to go. Now it’s just time to decide to buy the 300m at my Omega/Rolex AD to get BRBO/BLNR/SUBLV/EXP2 points for a potential purchase downstream or to save the cash and buy from a broker knowing it will still be years regardless.
Love the LHD, I’m sure I’ll love the 300m even more.

I have the LHD , but I think white and blue would be a great combo .
