Where to find parts ?

Currently looking for a universal geneve cal.69 complete balance. I know that cal.218 and cal.68 are also compatible. I’ve been scouring on eBay and basically every single website and there’s nothing. Does anyone know where I’d be able to find this part or of anyone who may have it ?

You don't qualify to post a WTB here, so that’s out. If you did, I’d suggest that. Are you trying to do this yourself? Then patience and E Bay are your best bets. Restoration watchmakers often have excellent parts networks. If you are being forced by your watchmaker to find this, perhaps they are not the best choice. Next is to just find a donor movement.

Perhaps read the rules on WTB first…

Not trolling genuinely don’t know where to find them, I’m 19 and relatively new to this. Sorry for being a nuisance

If someone was able to help him out, I would be very grateful.

I've had correspondence with him via instagram and he is not a time waster or troll.

I know there are rules relating to WTB for a reason but he is only looking for a spare part.

Perhaps we could help with the more general question, if I were looking for spare parts, where might I look first?

I’m not seeing the rule that says we can’t help this poster in a more direct fashion, but maybe I’m not looking in the right place. Anyways, I’ve been trying to fix a family heirloom for more than a year, sourcing parts has not been easy, but with lots of google searches and snooping in this site, I think we found what we need. That said, not everything is on Ebay and not all of us are as adept at finding these vintage parts.

And maybe that's the way it should be. Stay in the hobby for a while, develop a network, and people will entrust you with their sources, watchmaker contacts, etc. If you don't know how to fix something as a newbie, maybe you should buy working watches, or settle in for a long hunt. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but we all started there. Now with the internet, the younger generation thinks everything should be easy.
