Where do you buy a sweep seconds hand ?

I am well aware that parts policy. I noticed that most old stock of omega hands and generic left overs from independent sources sell hand sets with just hour and minute hands without the seconds hands . I will not be unrealistic to ask about genuine. Where can one source a generic seconds hand to fit a 550/552 movement? Where can you source generic sets to fit different types like Dauphines etc.?I have not seen any on eBay apart from used complete sets? Just curious? Thanks

Materials houses like OFrei, Paylak, Esslinger, Cas-Ker, Wm S. McCaw often sell assortments. Mixed lots, floor sweepings etc.

Seconds hands are sold by tube length and length from center to tip, not counting counterbalance. Sizes vary from 0.13 to 0.36.
Omega typically uses 0.17-0.18 for the sweeps on 350 through 751 or so. Chronographs tend to be around 0.22 give or take.
The tube length is around 0.30.

Like everything else the common sizes get picked over. There seems to be no dearth of hands on eBay and Etsy, although they can be pricey for the common ones. Sellers are in for a quick flip, so they do not bother with figuring out the pedantic details. One has to be prepared for disappointment.

I was playing about with some swatch hands and they may fit other things as well.

It is also possible to make custom hands from thin razor blades using a fiber laser.

thank you - a very important piece of information not easily found on most sites

Already have been disappointed, especially when I tried for size the typical blue generic ones from my general stock! They don’t fit properly, not just on omega, but on most watches when pivot size does not match the hands label measurement- mainly the hour hands!

Yes , but the used car salesman is always the first to get blamed
