Hello everyone, I'm wondering if Omega will present new models this year? I mean, no teasers,no rumours
It's not something that I can't stand it any longer but other brands showed at least one or more models in their collections so I'm just curious about. Any comments would be very appreciated.
I greet you all.
Bye

Omega isn’t bound by the big show releases anymore. Hard to tell what’s getting released or when. Instagram usually has teasers a week before..

(But something coming in May 😗) don’t tell @pdxleaf

The reason you've seen a lot of releases from other brands is because they all attend an annual "Watches & Wonders" exhibition thing in Switzerland every year. Omega (and to my knowledge the rest of the Swatch group, but someone else can correct me) don't attend that so aren't tied to the same release schedule as the other brands that do exhibit there. As @STANDY said, easiest way to get info on Omega releases is usually via Instagram. Note that they've already released the new Spirate system on the new Speedmaster Super Racing this year, ahead of W&W. So they're already ahead of the rest of them 😁

Okay I think you're right let's just hope prices won't skyrocketing or the average middle class watch lovers will not be able to buy an Omega anymore unless you win in lottery

Hi Dude, thank you for the infos it's a bit disappointing that Omega won't release new watches for this year, I mean, it's the 175th anniversary of the brand after all, only Lieutenant Columbo
"Just one more thing"Could find out what's going on in their minds😉anyway have a nice day. Bye

They will release new watches…just not at one show with 20 other brands at the beginning of the year.

Several releases throughout the year is their strategy nowadays. 👍

Well, don’t treat it as gospel, but that’s what the AD told me. Background is I’ve been waiting for a green speedy 57 since last June (with deposit) and this is apparently what the Omega rep told him when I asked them for an update as to where the watch is at.

I was told no new models for 2023 so they could concentrate on clearing the backlog of orders.
Also what I was told by my local OB. However they did add that there would likely be ‘something’ for the 75th anniversary of the Seamaster, although ‘maybe not a watch’, whatever that means.

I think Omega will release some new seamaster models with the new stainless steel alloy called O-megasteel for the 75th anniversary of the seamaster line so that they will raise up prices and in the end all stainless steel watches will feature this new alloy
As like Rolex use their own 904L Steel but this will eventually happen just in a couple of years, just my 2 cents.

I agree, and I think it's a matter of time before they roll out the O-Mega steel to most models. I think the new PO 600M (Which is due for replacement, would be a good first candidate). Hopefully thiner thanks to the O-Mega steel, and a new mouvement 3 hands and Spirate 0 / +2s ? Maybe a new PO 75 years anniversary to start the transition in the PO line ?
