Browsing ebay saw this listed with out of focus pics listed as a 16710

Put in a cheeky low offer and suprised it was accepted

400 mile round trip to collect yesterday

full of wrist cheese and dirt

cleaned up and put it on my DJ jubilee (did come on original oyster)

16760 fat lady with no date dial

cheesy indeed. Awesome find! What would you call this dial patina?
probably a dealer would call it sparkle pixie dust

A starlight dial... great pick up. I have heard that a starlight dial is a natural reaction to the paint oxidizing on some of Rolex dials... it's a rare occurrence. At Rolex service they'd replace these free of charge.

I know it is not polite to ask what your cheeky offer was, so I didn't... Congratulations

That'll look really nice when it's all cleaned up and a standard dome crystal is fitted so you don't have to look at that abominable wart.
